Request
Bila kita bicara dengan seseotang, tentu
kita tidak sembarangan
Mengeluarkan kata-kata, akan tetapi kita
harus melihat siapa yang akan
Kita ajak bicara, orang tua, anak muda,
atasan atau bawahan dan lain-lain.
Hal ini perlu khususnya ketika memerintah
atau memohon kepada orang tersebut.
Adapun ketentuan
dalam membuat request adalah :
1. Positive Request
Cara membuat positive request adalah dengan
menambah “will you”
Sebelum command dengan pola will you + command

Command/prohibition tanpa “please” di ucaplan kepada :
a.
Orang yang lebih rendah
b.
Setara sudah akrab

Command/prohibition bersama “please” di ucaplan kepada :

Orang setara dan belum akrab

Positive/negative “REQUEST” diucapkan kepada
orang yang lebih tinggi.
4.
“Will you” dan “would you”, sama-sama bisa
diletakkan diakhir kalimat
(Sebagaimana question)
Contoh : Shut the door, will yous?
Study at AL-HARY, would you?
5.
Would you lebih sopan dari pada will you.
6.
Will you/would you dapat dipakai REQUEST untuk
orang ketiga
